Haimanti Bagchi is a poet, artist, communication trainer, business storyteller, content creator and independent researcher focused on creating awareness on indigenous culture, art and literature. Her poems and short stories have been part of various anthologies and digital platforms like TMYS Review, Readomania, Scarlet Dragonfly, Ukiyoto Publishing House, Shades Publishing, The Quill House and others.
She was the project lead and editor for the TMYS Story Project 10, ‘Devi’ and a project advisor for the TMYS Story Project 11 ‘Dear Santa’. She was the winner of the national poetry contest by Namya Magazine for her poem ‘Sanitary Secret’ (2022) and received special mention for her short story from Shades Publishing (2022). Her digital paintings Om Mani Padme Hum and Prakriti were part of the winter exhibition at the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata (2022).
She has been creating rich informative content on social media platforms to generate awareness on folk culture, indigenous ecology and its preservation through different modes of storytelling techniques in the corporate world as well as before live audiences. She is determined to provide a state of equilibrium to marginal communities, by bringing indigenous consciousness and the acknowledgement of their rich culture into the mainstream in an initiative to conserve them.
